Custom closet companies do not just need more sales.

They need a process that can handle the growth.

Streamlined Closet Consulting works with new, small, and growing custom closet companies to improve the workflows that keep projects moving from first lead to final install.

That includes scheduling, client communication, project tracking, approvals, CRM cleanup, internal documentation, team responsibilities, and the daily operations that keep a business from running on memory, scattered notes, and emergency problem-solving.

When the work is organized, the team works better, clients stay informed, details are easier to track, and the owner is not pulled into every small question.

Fewer missed details. Better communication. Less chaos for the team, the owner, and the client.

Every Operational Audit is performed using the Streamlined 8-Stage Framework, a proven process that evaluates your business from first lead through post-install follow-up. Schedule a Workflow Review.

Growth is exciting.

But growth also exposes the messy parts of a business real fast.

For many new, small, and growing closet companies, the issue is not lack of talent, hard work, or good intentions. The issue is that the process behind the business has not caught up with the amount of work coming in.

Leads need follow-up. Clients need updates. Designs need approvals. Installs need to be scheduled. Project details need to be tracked. Team members need clear information.

And somehow, every question still finds its way back to the owner.

That works for a while.

Then it starts stealing time, creating confusion, slowing projects down, and making the business feel harder to run than it needs to.

Streamlined Closet Consulting works with closet companies that are ready for more structure without making things feel complicated or corporate.

I review where the work is getting stuck, where communication is breaking down, where project details are being missed, and where the owner is carrying too much.

Then I organize the operational side of the business so leads, approvals, schedules, client updates, project details, and team responsibilities are easier to manage, easier to follow, and easier to keep moving.

You do not need a corporate operations department. You need clear processes, better communication, and a cleaner way to manage projects from lead to install.

My Story

Built From Real Closet Industry Experience

Hi, I’m Paula Schreckenstein, the person behind Streamlined Closet Consulting.

I have worked in the custom closet industry for more than a decade, with experience in scheduling, client communication, project coordination, operations, installations, sales support, and workflow management.

I genuinely love this industry and the work that goes into creating a better experience for the client, the team, and the business owner.

I understand what happens when a closet business is growing, but the way projects are managed has not grown with it.

Leads need follow-up. Designs need approvals. Projects need accurate details. Installers need the right information. Clients need updates. Owners need fewer interruptions.

I created Streamlined Closet Consulting for new, small, and growing closet companies that need practical structure, better communication, and a more organized way to manage the work without turning the business into something corporate and complicated.

I have been inside that mess. I know where communication breaks down, where details get missed, where schedules become harder to manage, and where owners end up carrying too much of the daily problem-solving.

My work brings structure to the operational side of the business so projects are easier to manage, teams have better information, clients stay informed, and the owner is not pulled into every small issue.

Closet Business Consulting for Lead-to-Install Operations

Closet business consulting focuses on how projects, communication, tracking, and operational details move through the company from the first lead to the final install.

For new, small, and growing custom closet companies, that often means reviewing how leads are handled, how projects are tracked, how approvals are documented, how schedules are managed, how client updates are sent, and how information moves between sales, design, production, and installation.

The goal is simple: create a more organized way to manage the work so the team knows what is happening, the client stays informed, and the owner is not stuck chasing every detail.

“What is Closet Business Consulting?”

Custom closet companies do not need complicated corporate systems to run better. They need stronger processes, consistent communication, and an organized way to manage the work coming in.

Streamlined Closet Consulting works with new, small, and growing closet companies that are ready to strengthen the operational side of the business before the problems become harder to manage.

Services

The Streamlined Workflow Audit™

Using the Streamlined 8-Stage Framework

The Streamlined Workflow Audit™ is a complete review of how a client project moves through your company, from the first inquiry through post-install follow-up.

Using the Streamlined 8-Stage Framework, I review your processes for lead intake, appointments, design, approvals, engineering, production, scheduling, installation, and follow-up.

I look at how information is collected, documented, communicated, and transferred between team members. I identify workflow gaps, unclear responsibilities, communication issues, and areas where better structure can reduce delays and unnecessary owner involvement.

Following the audit, you receive practical findings, recommendations, and a prioritized action plan designed specifically for your company.

What People Are Saying

Testimonials from professionals within the closet industry.

“Paula is the best at what she does. I worked along side of her from 2018 to 2025 as an installer for Spacemakers Closets and there is no one better when it comes to end-to-end facilitation of closet system implementation.

She understands the process, from design and sales to installation and follow up services. Whether you are a customer, designer, installer, or manager she will help fulfill your needs and/or just make your job easier. She is a great problem solver and has a knack for anticipating issues before they become problems. She, and her company, have my highest recommendation.”

— Harry Gilbert, Master Installer

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Paula in the closet industry for nearly eight years, and she is truly one of the most talented and solutions-focused professionals I’ve worked with.

Paula has an incredible ability to create processes that keep businesses running smoothly — from manufacturing and scheduling to installations and customer service. She quickly identifies pain points, develops practical solutions, and brings teams together to improve efficiency and results.

She also has a strong understanding of the sales process and knows how to help teams stay organized, manage pipelines, and create a seamless customer experience from start to finish.

Beyond her expertise, Paula is thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely committed to helping businesses succeed. Any company would be lucky to work with her.”

— Melissa Purdon, Senior Designer

“Paula understands how a closet company actually runs — how information moves from sales to production to install, and where things break down along the way. She worked with our team on workflow cleanup, cross-department documentation, and overall organization, and her recommendations were practical from day one.

Nothing she did was flashy, but all of it mattered — and we're still benefiting from the improvements months later. For any closet company that needs better structure, smoother operations, and a consultant who genuinely knows the industry, Paula is a fantastic resource."

— Aman Bajwa, Owner of Perfection Custom Closets
